| hello friends and fellow members of the pastry appreciation society,its been a while since my last entry pardon the expression if you will! anyway ive got my internet up and running again so blogs will be appearing regularly from now on (not!!) right so whats been happening in my band life latley? well ive been to a couple of top gigs over the last couple of weeks the first one was a trip to wembley stadium (awsome stadium by the way) to see the foo fighters with mal,i was a bit dissapointed overall as we had crappy seats right at the back plus it cost £15 for two 'effin hot dogs! it was either that or the pie & pint deal which was £8! what a rip off.anyway mal and i decided to leave the gig before the encore so we could beat the crowds to the tube station and get back into central london for a couple of beers before closing,so you can imagine our dismay the next morning when one of mal's ex work mates who was at the gig text him to see what we thought when led zep joined the foos on stage for the encore,gutted is putting it mildly!!,anyway wednesday gone me,gibbo & wayne went to manchester to see the police at the m.e.n. arena the gig itself was everything i hoped it would be and more! the police were absolutly top notch one of the best gigs ive ever been to,and for me and gibbo we got to see our drumming hero in the flesh (stewart copeland for those of you who dont know) and he was fooking great! gibbo did his bit for race relations too, when we drove into manchester we found a small car pack which was manned by two colured gentlemen,and they informed us it was a fiver to park all night,top value i thought however when i asked one of the gentlemen for a ticket & if they would still be around when we got back to the car they just shrugged their shoulders and laughed! needless to say i was expecting the worst as we were coming back to the car.we all breathed a sigh of relief when we saw the car still parked up with all four wheels still intact! gibbo was so relived that he decided to shout "hey those niggers did a good job looking after the car" i then had to quietly point out to gibbo that as he was shouting the racist line he was walking past a car with windows down and yep you guessed it...the two coloured gentlemen were sat in the car listening to some urban beats and hearing every word gibbo had just spoken!! anyway we quickly left manchester before we became victims of gun crime. anyway cant be arsed to type anymore so brifly we had a gig friday night at old shildon club and a gig on saturday night at a wedding do in hunwick and they were both good. ttfn bye |
