Cancelled Gig and Paul's Foul Stench Minimize

Hi,

Played a couple of canny gig's recently, Good Friday being the first one, at the Foresters no less!! Been ages since we played there....turnout was a little thin at first and I think we were worried there'd be no one in...it was snowing horizontaly like!! But Spuggy's (Paul) mates came to the rescue and we had a great night.

Onto Easter Sunday.....eh? What do you mean it was cancelled? Cancelled because we were going to have played the same village in 3 days and there's not enough punters to go round? Cancelled because someone wants it all his own way?.....I didn't realise we were pawns in the battle for world domination of Coundon Pub trade.......piffle.....F****n grow up sunshine or you'll end up with nee one playing for yer!! It was Easter Sunday for Ferk's sake!!! Of course there's gonna be people out!!

Ahh that's better!!

So, onto the most recent gig, Friday just gone. At the Crown in Spennymoor. A late addition to the schedule, so due to stress' n strains, they didn't get any posters. It was a great gig, thoroughly enjoyed it, though I'm sure gibbo was still tidying cables away at 2 in the morning!! Made a few mistakes, mainly recognisable in Can't stand losing you...missed me q off Paul and me timing went all to cock...pleased the other's had an equally unspectacular time with that song too so I didn't feel singled out at the end...though gibbo's stare at my balls'ed up start was far more menacing than his recent email signature picture...more "I'm ganna rip thee heed off" rather than, "Gibbeaux, you're friendly sex pest".

I hope Paul's recovered from his bout of Kebabitis.....apparently they're injecting the meat with a sulphur odour inducing mixture.....you only had to walk out of the place and back in to appreciate the depth of stench he was letting out of his poop shoot.

Thanks to all who came and danced that night, and thanks to Donna for making us do the Trupa, I must learn that solo properly!!

Next Gig's a party at the North Briton, should be good...see you all then...

Got to jump in here and say, I see both sides of this. it maybe was a bit quick to be playing twice in coundon but i know for a fact the lads have enough tunes to play three nights off the belt and the staying power to get a good turn out at both venues. 'Staleness' can't be an issue here mind, as every time we've seen them they have different songs, more than can be said for nearly every other good band we go to see. I'd like to see koncept back at the ox some day, good bands compliment good venues. p.s. excellent gig this afternoon lads.
