Hi, Well, the wedding went really well and I'm now officially a married man....for the 2nd and last time. had a superb honeymoon and strangely wasn't looking forward to the gig on Saturday....though all that changed once I was there. Got a few comments regarding my playing style...one guy said he thought it was very different...my reply being "i just hit the thing"!! Anyhow, like nixon says, we were a bit concerned at the lack of punters, but it sharp filled up cos apparently the other do the regulars were at wasn't up to much (put politely). We absolutely murdered the opener....but improved from there, right up until the encores and we decided to do the Trooper by Iron Maiden and while I think we did a great job, the audience didn't think much of it. So onto packing away which is the worst part!! I'd got all my gear in the car and was helping the others (Paul n Neil) load there cars.....when the lads pointed out that a light had come away from the wall and was dangling by it's cable above my car....so i dropped the gear i was carrying and quickly moved me motor out of the way....won't be parking there again! Off to see the Foo's in manchester this weekend....should be a great gig, unless mr Grohl contracts the same RHY inducing sore throat that caused Sting to cancel the police gig at the same venue a few weeks ago (git)...we had gibbo on suicide watch for ages after that!! well i'm off now for some grub before more work later on. laters Mal
