I can certainly say that I really enjoyed this weekends gigs...the Blacksmiths was a great gig despite Paul turning up late having gone through the Tyne Tunnel to get to Gosforth!! (I still think he's joking cos not even he's that stupid!! is he?). It was ages since we'd played there, in fact the last time I ended up in Hospital a day or two later.....aya's lads me Knee's hurtin!! Thankfully no such happenings this time. The gig was really good, we opened up with a new tune and it sounded great. So anyway onto this wax on wax off thing...well you'll have to ask Edgy for more info...I mean I've had my back waxed for charity and when I showed the lads they wen't into a catatonic state of shock....but Edgy has gone that one step further...needless to say...when he had 'them' done, it would've been a good impression of Buster Gonad...cos they'd have swollen up like balloons....but to drop his kegs in the middle of the pub just before chucking out time... I felt sick!!
Onto the Spennymoor Club gig...it was organised by the Leek club and I reckon it was about 75-80% full...funnily enough we went down really well and had loads of people up dancing in the second set right through to the end.....Wayne managed to give me a shower when he came over to assist in the "da da da daaa's"......cheers Wayne!! As gibbo says, "Everlong" as the final encore was just surreal, so I put a little bit more into it than usual and it was probably the best we've played it!!
My singing debut...... well, what gibbo is saying is that I have a more "rough" vocal style and reckons I can "embrace the roar" and hopefully sing a number or two....it'd be tenty, forty hundred if he had his way!! lol so hopefully his declaration of an upcoming debut for me won't put anyone off coming to see us....i'll just shut me eyes and think of........errr dunno, the words I guess!!
Two more gigs this coming weekend and a possibility of more work (the day job, proper work!!) on Sunday afternoon/evening....oh to have a Sunday off would be a treat!!
See you all at Leelhome Welfare Hall or Sacriston Cricket Club (Fri & Sat) this weekend...they'll both be cracking gigs and I can't wait.
Take care

Mal's right. . . That knacker flash was hideous. . . . Somewhat reminiscent of Diedre Barlow's neck.
Something I care not to relive.
