| always a delight to play the blacksmiths arms in gosforth and friday night was no exception, all songs seemed to be well received and all feedback was superb. . . . I was chuffed with our new opener. . . Which if i recall. . .Has yet to added to our website song list. Speaking of which we all made an executive decision last night to briefly defect from our new song list and rapidly learn a certain fratellis track that we're being constantly badgered to play, we aim to please. Last nights gig was equally enjoyable in a surreal way. Anyone who's seen us knows how diverse our set is and i'm not sure many people knew what most of our songs were. Non the less, a cracking gig with three encores finishing with a request for the foo fighters classic 'everlong' can you believe? I still stop and wonder, no pun intended, how of get away with most of our set in clubs, maybe its an interesting change for the audience not to hear the usual songs played to death on the club circuit. Maybe its because we're 100% live, bungle notes and all, who knows, who cares? As long as everyone has a good night. Unfortunately, all the people due to watch us at masons arms in middlestone moor didn't get a chance to see us that particular evening. Due to the lady in charge cancelling us the afternoon of the day we were due to play, very considerate taking into account how long it had been booked in. I've never made so many phone calls in one afternoon in my life, explaining to friends and following that we were no longer playing there for reasons unknown. . . . .As far as i gather, it was because she knew nothing about us or hadn't heard of us. Not to worry there's other venues to play in spennymoor, such as the crown, the north eastern and the weardale which are all great places to play. I would now like to say how pleased i am that malcolm has finally relented and will take the front seat, singing lead vocal, on one of our new songs, thus embracing the roar and get this. . . Our very own billy joe nixon will also be donning a mic for one or two choons throwing in some backing vocals. Last night he astounded us all by moving across the stage and sharing mals mic for a few da da da da's n that, wahey! Mind you, i nearly had cardio issues when i turned to my right on stage and he wasn't there, not even a babysitter for his children (his effect pedal collection) lol lol lol him and mal do more pedalling than lance bloody armstrong! The pedal board wars have been ongoing now for ages and will continue to do so as long as koncept are together. I hope thats a long time. Thanks to all for continued support, now, where's me dinner? |

Dear Mr Gibson,
I was hoping to keep my little step into the frontiers of Band Limelight quiet, thus being able to just spring the Surprise on one of our upcoming and unsuspecting audiences. Well, you've just spoiled that fiendish plan!!!

Dear Malcolm.
I was merely making sure that if any of our loyal following should be listening in another room, i.e. The latrine, they won't assume its me. (when your long anticipated slot in the spot arises).
