| at last i have a new job i have finally escaped from my old job which was just so shitty for the last few months,been there for nearly 11 years and have had some good times and made some good mates which does surprise me (people who know darlington folk will know what i mean by that!). anyway me new job is working for balfour beatty and basically im going to be driving round the north east dropping barriers and road signs off for the lads who will be digging the roads up,then going back to pick them up when they are done,may sound boring to you put its a substantial rise in wages from me old job & i get me own van (bonus) just come back from a three day induction course in rugby ( mal gets to go to the u.s.a. for a course i get to go to rugby!) mal said in his blog he thought rugby was a shit hole but it must have changed a bit since he was there cos i thought it was a canny nice place and i had a couple of decent nights out too! anyway on to all things koncept,we had our first gig for a month or so last week when we played down the bush in chilton and i must admit we were all a bit rusty,and the gig on a whole seemed a little bit flat.however we'll sharp remedy that this friday night when we play the travellers rest in darlo,we had a cracking night last time we played there and i know the four off us will be well up for this one. and finally we have just confirmed a gig at the leeholme welfare hall just outside of coundon,one of my mates puts one or two gigs a year on at this venue and by all accounts they are absolutley top nights,it costs £15 a ticket but for that you can have as much beer,lager,cider,spirits and wine that you can pour down your neck plus you get a bit entertainment from us and a disco rounds the night off! the date for this is 14th september and if anyone fancies coming to this you can give me a bell on 07793235385 and i can sort your tickets out,i would be quick though cos this gig will sell out pretty quick. right im off to bed to have wet dreams about fray bentos & tindale and stanton pies! laters everyone, |
