Not much more I can add to Malcolm's synopsis of the weekend. Both gigs were great. The Weardale is a great venue, the crowd are mint and the man in charge is really nice bloke with nothing but complimentary things to say about the band, thoroughly enjoyed the night, as did the audience by all accounts...hopefully we'll see some of them again next time...or better still....on Saturday in the Masons (Middlestone Moor).
The 3 Tuns was a first time for us and was also a really enjoyable gig as far as performance and audience response goes. The room was a really good shape for sound too. Thanks to Dean for booking us. Maybe next time we'll get to play in the massive beer garden!
Well I'll keep it short and sweet, as I need to get sorted for practise tonight round Low Spennymoor Club....hopefully we won't get any 'White star fuelled helmets' shouting abuse at us f ...

As ever, a smashing night in the Olde Horseshoe in Crook. However, we were very self conscious in terms of how we played due to the fact the whole gig was being recorded......I for one was a little tense...and...made a few mistakes I think...he he he, but as a whole I think we did alright. Good news is, at least we'll have some CD's for anybody wishing to hear us.
The gig was very elaborate in that we had a sub contracted light crew for the night....by all accounts it looked excellent. Many thanks to the lads in charge of that.
I would also like to thank Dave (I'm sure that was his name) who recorded the gig for us, he was very professional, cooperative and a top bloke who knew his stuff, really looking forward to hearing the finished product and subsequently working with him again when the ...

Little more I can add to Waynes accurate account the evening.
I will start by saying thankyou to Charlotte and Nigel for choosing us to play for them.....twas our pleasure. I hope the INXS one for the first dance was ok. (Gibbeaux giving it some Hutchence).
Its all true about the staff at Headlam being somewhat discourteous and obtrusive, especially where we were concerned....."We have nothing but contempt for...BANDS..here at Headlam".
As Wayne said...we had to spend some time hanging around due to things running behind...not to worry though, was a great laugh in the cribbage parlour (braaaandy, are you a member?) with Belamy and his mistress, bet he stovved her knot in after the medievel banquet. Pauls pump nearly gave me a stroke with laughter.....bet its still echoing round the ...

Howdy campers! doesn't seem that long ago when we were asked to play for this wedding in gainford, near piercebridge. I believe it was on a very wet and miserable evening in Redcar, when we approached by the bride and groom to be.
That, I think, was about a year ago. Where does the time go? It's been a bit of a nightmare lately fulfilling all the mandatory requirements of headlam hall personel, such as testing all of our electrical equipment, and insuring ourselves for five million sounds each etc etc. At one point I really thought we'd hit an impass and would have had to pass the gig on to someone else, god forbid. But thankfully it looks like we've battled through this successfully. Big thanks to Andy for sorting us out at a minutes notice, hope you enjoyed your holiday too.
Also looking forward to Sundays gig. We're playing Harley's in Sunderland, another new venue for us, so hope it goes well. Wonder if Mally sent any posters. . .He's just txt me about this gig actually, regarding times etc so i'd bett ...

It was remarkably like driving to the Bates motel in the movie 'Psycho', driving to Sleepers last night. The Rain was pelting down and visibility was about 19 inches ahead. Not to worry though, Wayne and I made it there unscathed. Wayne had to follow me through so as not to get lost is the vast chasms of Boldon.
The venue must have been recently re-furbished, it smelled new, or as Wayne said, "you can smell the Ikea-ness" ha ha ha ha. It looked really nice inside and the sound was nice due to the shape of the room and the low ceiling.
It was quite a good turnout, the people were polite and appreciative. Lots of people giving us great feeback after the gig, complementing us on our performance and set diversity etc. So many thanks for that. Its really good that we can make that much of an impression on people, on our first visit to any venue.

"Come on!!!! Haway!!!".....we shouted, willing the van up the hill from Shildon to Brusselton as it gasped and spluttered its way to the top, smelling like it was burning 50cm to a gallon of oil getting us to our gig in Richmond...which it did, ye of little faith and all that.
Mal stood laughing at us as we pulled up behind his car in 'The Dingle mobile' on the delivery driveway to the rear of the Black Lion Hotel in the scenic Richmond.
The venue was really nice, cosy and in keeping with the rustic facia of the surrounding buildings. The people were really nice too, well up for a good time, which made for a great night for all, trully cracking!
Now then, a very interesting and somewhat eerie incident occured during our time there. Our Drummer Paul was casually urinating in ...

Travellers gig was tremendous, our following in that area is second to none, so many thanks to all who turned out to watch us again...much appreciated. With three brilliant gigs in Cockerton so far I'm definately looking forward to playing the club in November, it should be awesome. Got some great up and coming gigs too ( check the gig list). We're beig recorded at the Horseshoe gig in Crook so I'm hoping for a full house for that one....lots of noisy people! Every gig we've played there has been great so far so.....should be mint.
There's a few new venues for us too soon such as Sleepers (Boldon) and Harleys (Sunderland) so I'm interested to see what they're like to play. Thanks to Linda Cross, (whom I'm yet to meet lol), for booking us for those. We've played Olivers, which is not too far away from Harleys....It was more like a night club than a live music venue and the band accounted for two thirds of the people i ...

S'all quiet on the koncept front at the mo it would seem, but not to worry, got some mint gigs coming up. Thankfully the flu has subsided, and left me with a rattly chest, which should in turn fade soon...i hope. Teeth no longer hurting...thanks Mal......t**t. Played a canny gig in chilton last weekend, wasn't our best gig by any means, felt a little lifeless to me...plus...i think our opener wasn't right....set the balance off from the word gan. Thanks to all who turned out to watch us there though, much appreciated. Also think we may need a praccy before the next gig if pos....buff up some rusty bits n that. nature of the beast with bands etc. If you don't play for ages your mind just goes blank, even if you have played recently as i found out at the Vane arms...forgetting the words in a couple of songs...hahahahaha was tremendously funny...having to make words up...or just dance to make the gap look good, its made me a bit tense before songs since. ...
