Introduction: Koncept started life in Feb 2004 with a line up of Paul Brown - Vocals, Derek Wright - Lead/Rhythm guitar, Wayne Nixon - Lead/Rhythm guitar, Philip Stephenson - Bass guitar, Paul Davison - Drums.

After a few shoddy practices Browny decided to pursue his new career as a domestic visual engineer(window cleaner) swiftly followed by Derek for reasons still unknown.We then found a temporary replacement vocalist in the form of Neil Gibson (Gibbo) and began rehearsing as a four piece. After a couple of weeks realising the overall sound of the band needed a bit more poke, we recruited a second guitarist Malcolm Gibb(Gibby).We then rehearsed solidly for 3 months approx. and played our first gig at the Crown pub in Spennymoor November 5th 2004, which was a proper success,all hard work had paid off.

Since then we've played explosive gigs all over the north east establishing an excellent reputation.Eventually our temporary vocalist 'Gibbo' decided to join on a permanent basis due to the "Wednesday night phone call" and pressure from certain fans of the band.Awhile later Phil decided to call it a day with the band....with bad guts (ayyyazz n that) so it was down to Neil to increase his workload and take over bass duties (the one with 4 wires).

Since then we've continued to be a hugely successful live covers band gaining awesome reviews from the fantastic venues we have played.
